'The Putting Lot' - a nine-hole miniature-golf course in Bushwick, Brooklyn, that explores the possibilities of vacant lots in the city with an emphasis on community spaces. Each hole is designed by a different team of artists or architects. The Putting Lot is co-organized by common room employee Rachel Himmelfarb and includes a hole designed by The Putting Lot team and common room. The Putting Lot will be open throughout the summer beginning Saturday June 6.

'Reinventing Goethe, part 2' - as part of the Armory Arts Week, common room programmed an afternoon exploring the concept of Reinventing Goethe, the redesign of the Goethe-Institut Wyoming Building by ifau & Jesko Fezer, and the concurrent series of events collaboratively curated by Joseph Grima and ifau & Jesko Fezer. The event will take place at the Goethe-Institut Wyoming Building, Sunday March 8, noon - 5pm.

'Public Phenomena' by Temporary Services - book launch of the first Half Letter Press publication at common room 2. Following a short introduction to the book by Brett Bloom, Damon Rich and Joseph Heathcott will discuss their research into how communities effectively organized against racist city planning and bank policies and the marks this left on the spaces and history of the city.
