a forum for the exploration of four themes in architecture at the center for architecture.
1 – presentation and discussion with david reinfurt and david senior for new practices new york: “operating under the assumption that everything is in everything.”
2 – pedestal with circulars. a point of distribution, presentation and discussion.
3 – a neutral container/object that can function on numerous levels at a human scale but is not designed to accommodate anything specifically; the activity defines the specific function.
for the duration of the new practices new york | 2008 exhibition, the common room installation served as a forum for the exploration of four main themes. these themes were investigated through a series of informal talks by guests invited by common room, and printed matter, using the installation as point of distribution.
